EWC Patchwork
It’s not like a tree where the roots have to end somewhere, truth is, I would like the Patchwork Dress to go on forever, like a wedding train. Except this is not to wed in, not for the beach, not a plaything. This is made for the gamble to lead a special life. Another exclusive. Tell me we’ll never get used to it.

Tell me about the dream where we pull the bodies out of the lake
and dress them in warm clothes again.
How it was late, and no one could sleep, the horses running
until they forgot they are horses.
It’s not like a tree where the roots have to end somewhere,
       it’s more like a song on a policeman’s radio,
how we rolled up the carpet so we would dance, and the days
were bright red, and every time we kissed there was another apple
                                                                                           to slice into pieces.
Look at the light through the windowpane. That means it’s noon, that means
        We’re inconsolable.
Tell me how all this, and love too, will ruin us.
These, our bodies, possessed by light.
Tell me we’ll never get used to it.

Visible World

Silk Drape Bareback, Sky

Sunlight pouring across your skin, your shadow
flat on the wall.
The dawn was breaking the bones of your heart like twigs
You had not expected this,
the bedroom gone white, the astronomical light
pummeling you in a stream of fists.
You raised your hand to your face as if
to hide it, the pink fingers gone gold as the light
streamed straight to the bone,
as if you were the small room closed in glass
with every speck of dust illuminated.
The light is no mystery,
the mystery is that there is something to keep the light
from passing through.

- Visible World, taken from Richard Siken’s book Crush

Winner of the 2004 Yale Series of Younger Poets competition, the poems in Crush feel for the lover and synthesize thought and imagination together. In this poem – it is not easy to feel for light and imagine perspective.

But I just did.

EWC, Part II

Eyes, are you still here?

Bodycon Number, Animal Bodycon Number, Animal

Bodycon Number, Animal Bodycon Number, Animal

Part II of our East-West-Collection quickens my pulse. Does it, yours?
And this time I ain’t gonna be scolded by anyone because I HAVE SIZES! In S/M/L.
Which means I don’t have many per size my girlies…

Bodycon Number, Street Bodycon Number, Street

Shells dot the neckline. The bodice is a sheer tee (the kind wet t-shirts are loved for) up to the high waist at the front, where the back slivers down to your tail bone. Ahem, science and art go together those Zeitgeist keep telling me. Fear not, all we know is Bodycon = Body Confidence.

They are not even in store yet, not till Wednesday. I know we have outrageous prints, but don’t ask me to paint you a picture. I am, after all, only a poorly storekeeper.
Email bishopATi-never-promised-you.com to keep one.
